When we were briefed on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Kansas City Chiefs game, we developed a concept featuring Beck covering “Old Man.” It was one of those ideas that immediately felt right.
The connection between the song and the Tom Brady–Patrick Mahomes storyline was undeniable. Both won Super Bowls at 24. Both are destined for the Hall of Fame. One was in the later chapter of an iconic career, while the other was just beginning his own.
What started as a promo became something much bigger when Beck’s cover of “Old Man” was later nominated for a Grammy Award. A rare moment when an ad campaign became part of culture.
